Up, Down, Fragile

In 1995, French director Jacques Rivette crafted a unique coming-of-age story about three young women navigating love, identity, and belonging in Paris. Nathalie Richard stars as Ninon, a free-spirited woman who leaves her past behind to start anew, alongside Marianne Denicourt's Louise, a coma survivor searching for herself, and Laurence Côte's Ida, an adopted library clerk trying to connect with her roots. As their paths intertwine, they find themselves entangled in romantic affairs and encounters with various characters, including Roland, a set decorator, and Sarah, a nightclub singer.
