The Guardian

In this 2006 action-adventure drama film, Kevin Costner plays Ben Randall, a veteran Coast Guard rescue swimmer struggling to come to terms with his troubled past after an attempted rescue doesn't go as planned. He's forced to train a new recruit, Jake Fischer (Ashton Kutcher), a cocky high school swimming star who has a similar troubled history.
