The Host

The Host is a 2013 American romantic science fiction thriller film based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer. The story follows Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan), a young woman captured and infused with an alien "Wanderer" soul, who forms a bond with her host and sets out to aid other free humans. As Wanderer gains the trust of Melanie's boyfriend Jared Howe and others, she begins to question her own identity and ultimately finds a way to help humanity defeat the parasitic alien invasion.
