In this 1974 Italian supernatural horror film, an Italian nobleman seeks help after his paralyzed daughter becomes possessed by the spirit of a malevolent ancestress. The film explores themes of faith, inquisition, and demonic possession as Ippolita's condition worsens and she begins to exhibit incredible telekinetic powers. Ultimately, a formal exorcism is performed, and with the help of the possessed father, the demon is expelled from her body, restoring her to health. The film, directed by Alberto De Martino, was widely regarded as a cash-in on The Exorcist but has since become a cult classic.
