The Jacket

A military veteran named Jack Starks (Adrien Brody) returns to Vermont in 1992 after miraculously recovering from a fatal bullet wound inflicted by a child soldier. He soon forms a bond with a young girl named Jackie and her mother, who are struggling at a truck stop. After being found dead near the scene of a policeman's murder, Starks is placed in a mental institution where he undergoes experimental treatment that allows him to travel 15 years into the future. There, he meets an older version of Jackie and teams up with psychologist Dr. Beth Lorenson (Jennifer Jason Leigh) to use his time-traveling ability to save his own life and those he loves.
