The Juniper Tree

"The Juniper Tree" is a 1990 Icelandic medieval fantasy drama film written and directed by Nietzchka Keene. The film tells the story of two sisters, Margit (Björk) and Katla (Bryndis Petra Bragadóttir), who flee their home after their mother is burned to death for witchcraft. They find shelter with Johan (Valdimar Örn Flygenring), a young widower, and his son Jónas (Geirlaug Sunna Þormar), as Katla uses her magical powers to seduce Johann and they start living together.
