The Medusa Touch

In "The Medusa Touch," Richard Burton plays John Morlar, a writer in London who is convinced he has the power to cause destruction at will. Lino Ventura stars as Brunel, a French detective investigating Morlar's apparent murder, which leads to a complex web of flashbacks revealing Morlar's telekinetic abilities and his descent into madness. With the help of psychiatrist Dr. Zonfeld (Lee Remick), Brunel uncovers Morlar's troubled past, including a courtroom defense speech that reveals his disgust with the world, leading to a series of devastating disasters.
