Lino Ventura was a renowned Italian-born actor and philanthropist who lived and worked in France for most of his life. He was one of the greatest leading men of French cinema during the 1960s and 1970s, known for his tough-guy portrayals in crime dramas. A dedicated father and husband, he co-founded a charity to aid disabled children after one of his daughters was born with a handicap.
