Three Penny Opera

In the dark alleys of Victorian London, a tangled web of crime and deception unfolds in this gritty musical drama. Based on Bertolt Brecht's 1928 play, "The Threepenny Opera" tells the story of Captain Macheath, a notorious gangster secretly married to Polly, the daughter of beggar king Peachum. When Peachum discovers the union, he sets out to have Macheath hanged, threatening to disrupt the upcoming coronation if his demands are not met - a fate that only seems to tighten its grip on those around him.
