A 1986 American action film directed by Eric Karson, Opposing Force follows a group of elite soldiers, including one woman, as they embark on an ultimate training mission that quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival on a remote island. With scenes shot in the Philippines and Southern California, the film takes on themes of women's presence in combat roles, exploring both their competence and vulnerability to sexual assault.
