Will McLean (David Keith) is forced to help Tom Pearce (Tom Bower), a black student, navigate the racist culture of the Carolina Military Institute, where Will is expected to keep an eye out for any racism. As part of the Ten, a secret group of elite students, they want Pearce to leave on his own free will, but are prepared to torture him.
