The Physician

In medieval Europe, Robert Cole vows to become a physician and vanquish disease and death after his mother's untimely death from side sickness. With an extraordinary gift for sensing terminal illnesses, he joins an itinerant barber-surgeon and embarks on a perilous journey to Persia, where he meets the renowned Ibn Sina, the greatest healer of his time. Rob's determination is tested as he navigates treacherous landscapes, cultural clashes, and conflicts with religious fundamentalism, but ultimately, he finds a new home in Isfahan, where he learns the art of medicine from the masters and becomes embroiled in the politics of the time.
