Pendulum

Pendulum is a 1969 American neo noir crime thriller film directed by George Schaefer and starring George Peppard, Jean Seberg, and Richard Kiley. Police Captain Frank Matthews' (George Peppard) career takes a deadly turn when his wife Adele (Jean Seberg) and her lover are murdered in bed. As the prime suspect, Matthews escapes to clear his name, leading him on a perilous pursuit of the real killer. The film weaves together two storylines: the murder investigation and the case of death row inmate Paul Sanderson (Robert F. Lyons), whose release sets off a violent chain of events.
