The Being

In the small Idaho town of Pottsville, toxic waste dumping leads to the transformation of young Michael Smith into a grotesque mutant monster. Detective Mortimer Lutz (Bill Osco) and chemical safety engineer Garson Jones (Martin Landau) team up to stop the creature, which is killing off the town's citizens. As they hunt for the monster, they uncover the dark secret behind its creation: the town's radioactive waste has turned a young boy into a monstrous mutant. The film follows their desperate attempt to end the reign of terror and prevent further mutations.
