Skin Game

In the pre-Civil War American West, con man Quincy Drew and his partner Jason O'Rourke travel from town to town selling black Jason into slavery, freeing him, and splitting the profits. But when a con gone wrong leads Jason into real danger, their scam turns deadly serious. This 1971 Western comedy film directed by Paul Bogart and starring James Garner and Louis Gossett Jr., explores themes of racial tension, loyalty, and the blurred lines between right and wrong in the days leading up to the abolition of slavery.
