The Spy Who Loved Me

James Bond is summoned by MI6 to investigate the mysterious disappearance of two ballistic missile submarines, one British and one Soviet, which vanish without a trace from the waters. There, he teams up with female Russian agent Major Anya Amasova to prevent world-hating Karl Stromberg from starting World War III by stealing nuclear subs. Bond and Amasova uncover evidence linking the plans to Swedish shipping tycoon and reclusive scientist Karl Stromberg, who has launched a mysterious new supertanker, Liparus, nine months previously.
