The Thing

Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as Kate Lloyd, an American vertebrate paleontologist graduate from Columbia University, who travels to a Norwegian base in Antarctica to examine a colossal craft buried under the ice and a nearby frozen specimen. She is recruited by Dr. Sander Halvorson and his assistant Adam Finch to join the team, but her warnings are ignored as they discover a parasitic alien that can mimic anything it touches, leading to paranoia and fear among the team members.
