Joel Edgerton is an Australian actor and filmmaker known for his critically acclaimed performances in the Star Wars franchise as Owen Lars, as well as his roles in historical dramas such as Loving, where he received a Golden Globe nomination, and Train Dreams, which earned him further critical acclaim. He has also written, directed, and starred in several films, including The Gift and Boy Erased.
