Love and Death in the Garden of the Gods

A professor of ornithology rents a mysterious villa in the Spoleto area to study some bird species. While walking in the woods, he finds old tape recorders under a tree and, curious, plays them back: they contain sedated sessions by a woman named Azzurra, whose life spirals into a tragic love story with her brother Manfredi and an affair with Viola, while Timothy's marriage to Azzurra causes tension in the family.
