Moonlight

The Afghan is a 2002 Dutch thriller film directed by Paula van der Oest and starring Laurien Van den Broeck as Claire, who discovers and nurses a wounded young drug courier from Afghanistan (played by Hunter Bussemaker) in her family's garden shed. As they fall in love, their secret is threatened when the boy's past catches up with him. The film follows Claire and the Afghan boy's struggles to escape their difficult pasts.
