Love at the Top

A shy bank employee, Nicolas Mallet (Jean-Louis Trintignant), embarks on a transformation with the help of his disillusioned friend, novelist Claude Fabre (Jean-Pierre Cassel). As they navigate a dazzling social ascent, Fabre's guidance leads Mallet to become a confident seducer, exploiting women to rise through the ranks. The film is based on Roger Blondel's 1956 novel "Le Mouton enragé".
