Zach Shefford (Grayson McCouch), a physics professor with telekinetic gifts, is recruited by former FBI agent Raymond Addison (Louis Gossett Jr.) for a dangerous mission to infiltrate the camp of Adrian Geiger (Michael Massee), a rogue telekinetic who escaped a deadly project in 1977. As Shefford falls in love with Tristen Geiger (Nicki Aycox), he must choose between his loyalty and the danger posed by Geiger's powerful army, while FBI agents Jordan Ripps (Teri Hatcher) and Frank McIntyre investigate an armored-car hijacking that leads to a psychic showdown.
