The Waterboy

Bobby Boucher is a socially inept, stuttering, 31-year-old man serving as the water boy for the University of Louisiana football program. He lives with his protective and extremely religious mother, Helen, who believes her late husband died of dehydration in the Sahara, while serving in the Peace Corps back in the 1960s. After years of being bullied by players, Coach Red Beaulieu fires Bobby due to his constant disruptions during employment, but he finds a new opportunity as the water boy for South-Central Louisiana State University Mud Dogs. With the help of coach Klein, Bobby discovers his hidden rage and becomes an unstoppable force on the field, leading the team to a surprise victory in the Bourbon Bowl against their arch-rivals.
