The Wicker Man

Police sergeant Neil Howie arrives on a remote Scottish island after reports of a missing girl, only to find an unsettling culture where Christianity has been abandoned and pagan Celtic gods are celebrated. The islanders' indifference to his investigation and their open disregard for Christian values raise tensions as Howie's devout Christian beliefs clash with the island's customs. A seemingly simple case turns into a deadly trap when Howie discovers that he is the intended sacrifice in a human ritual, forcing him to confront his own mortality and the darker side of pagan culture.
