The Zero Theorem

Qohen Leth (Christoph Waltz), a reclusive computer genius, works crunching "entities" for the ontological research division of Mancom. He requests disability leave or permission to work from home due to his deteriorating physical health. Management assigns him a special project, the Zero Theorem, an extremely complex mathematical formula that has exhausted or killed anyone who tried to solve it. As Qohen becomes increasingly deranged while working on the formula, he is interrupted by Bainsley (Mélanie Thierry), a young woman sent to distract him, and Bob (Lucas Hedges), his teenage supervisor's son, who offers to help him.
