In "Party Girl," slick lawyer Thomas Farrell (Robert Taylor) has made a career defending Chicago mobsters in court, but everything changes when he meets chorus girl Vicki Gaye (Cyd Charisse), who challenges his views on morality and wealth. As their romance blossoms, Farrell must choose between his loyalty to the mob and his newfound sense of purpose, leading to a cat-and-mouse game with the mob kingpin Rico Angelo (Lee J. Cobb). With its standard formulaic plot and iconic performances from Taylor and Charisse, this 1958 film noir features stunning direction by Nicholas Ray and impressive musical numbers.
