Wheel of Time

Werner Herzog's "Wheel of Time" is a 2003 documentary film that follows two Kalachakra initiations, one held in Bodh Gaya, India, and the other in Graz, Austria, both presided over by the fourteenth Dalai Lama. The film documents the Tibetan Buddhist ritual and features interviews with the Dalai Lama and Takna Jigme Sangpo, a former political prisoner who spent 37 years in Chinese prison. Shot by Herzog himself, the documentary captures the beauty of Buddhist rituals and the significance of these events.
