The Barkleys of Broadway

Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers star as Josh and Dinah Barkley, a successful husband-and-wife musical comedy team whose relationship is put to the test when Dinah considers taking on a more serious role in a play. When Josh discovers she's secretly rehearsing for the lead part, he impersonates the playwright to help her improve, leading to a dramatic confrontation that ultimately brings them closer together as a duo.
