The Mystery Inc. gang investigates a series of eerie occurrences at the Whirlen Merlin Magic Academy, where Velma's younger sister Madelyn is studying stage magic. Upon arrival, they meet Madelyn and learn that a giant griffin has been terrorizing students and staff, but things take a turn when it's revealed that the gryphon may be an illusion created by Marlon, one of the academy's founders. The gang soon uncovers a complex web of secrets and lies as they work to expose Calvin Curdles' true motives for buying the castle, leading to a thrilling showdown that ultimately reveals the truth behind the mysterious griffin.
