The Bible Collection: Esther

Esther, a 1999 American-Italian-German television film, tells the story of Queen Esther, who intervenes to save the Jewish people from a bloody massacre after King Ahasuerus deposes her cousin Mordecai's guardian and future wife Vashti for refusing to obey him. The film follows Esther's journey as she is chosen by the king to be his new queen and uses her position to protect her people from Haman, a royal advisor who plots against them. With the help of her cousin Mordecai, Esther successfully foils Haman's plans and saves the Jewish people, leading to their celebration of Purim.
