Moonfall

In 2011, astronauts Brian Harper, Jocinda "Jo" Fowler, and Alan Marcus are on a Space Shuttle mission to repair a satellite when an alien technology swarm attacks the orbiter, killing Alan and knocking Jo unconscious. Ten years later, conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman discovers that the Moon's orbit is veering closer to Earth. NASA launches a spacecraft with former astronaut Brian Harper, who was previously fired from NASA after his story about the alien attack was dismissed. As the Moon falls towards Earth, Jo teams up with her ex-husband General Doug Davidson and Brian to correct the Moon's orbit using an EMP device, while their families try to survive on Earth amidst disasters caused by the Moon's proximity. Along the way, they uncover a hidden truth about the Moon that threatens humanity.
