When a Stranger Calls

"When a Stranger Calls" (1979) is a low-key horror mixed with detective drama/thriller, following Carol Kane's character Jill Johnson, a young woman being terrorized by a psychopathic killer while babysitting, as he stalks another woman and later returns to torment her years later. The film features Charles Durning as John Clifford, a private investigator hired to track down the killer.
