Winter's Bone

In the rural Ozarks of Missouri, 17-year-old Ree Dolly looks after her mentally ill mother, Connie, twelve-year-old brother Sonny, and six-year-old sister Ashlee, a life marked by poverty and struggle for survival. When Ree's father Jessup disappears and his house is put up as collateral for a bail bond, she must confront the local criminal underworld and harsh wilderness to track him down and save her family from homelessness.
