Backpackers Rutger, Katarina, and Paul visit the notorious Wolf Creek Crater, lured by the promise of an Australian holiday. Their dream adventure soon becomes a horrific reality when they encounter Mick Taylor, a psychopathic local who pursues them on an epic white-knuckled rampage across hostile wasteland. The trio's desperate attempts to escape Mick lead to a series of gruesome murders and tortures. Paul, a British tourist, must use his "English wit" to pacify Mick during their prolonged captivity.
