John Jarratt

Biography

John Jarratt is an Australian television film actor, producer, and director born in Wongawilli, New South Wales, to a coal miner father who worked on the Snowy Mountains hydroelectric scheme. He graduated from NIDA in 1973 and began his acting career with notable roles in Picnic at Hanging Rock, Wolf Creek, and McLeod's Daughters. After recognizing a problem with binge drinking, he joined Alcoholics Anonymous and has since appeared in various films, including Django Unchained and Bad Behaviour.
