The Valet

In "The Valet," François Pignon (Gad Elmaleh) is enlisted by Maître Foix to pretend to be the lover of famous fashion model Elena Simonsen (Alice Taglioni), a ruse intended to deflect attention from her relationship with married businessman Pierre Levasseur (Daniel Auteuil). Elena moves in with François, who is overwhelmed by the situation, but the two quickly become friends. As Christine Levasseur (Kristin Scott Thomas) plays the situation for all it's worth, Émilie (Éléna Simonsen's bookstore owner friend), initially confused and upset to see François and Elena together, eventually accepts François' proposal after being funded by the arrangement.
