Georgia Rule

Rebellious teenager Rachel Wilcox (Lindsay Lohan) is hauled off by her frustrated mother Lily (Felicity Huffman) to spend the summer with her estranged grandmother Georgia Randall (Jane Fonda), a woman who lives by strict rules and has secrets of her own. As Rachel tries to navigate her way through life, she reveals painful family truths, including sexual abuse at the hands of her stepfather Arnold. With the help of Harlan Wilson (notably not mentioned in this passage) and Dr. Simon Ward, Georgia's friend and local veterinarian, the three women come to an understanding about their tangled relationships.
