Catch a Fire

In 1980 South Africa, Patrick Chamusso (Derek Luke), an apolitical foreman at a synthetic fuel plant, is wrongly accused of carrying out a bombing and tortured by police officer Nic Vos (Tim Robbins). Fuelled by the injustice, Patrick joins the ANC's military wing and attempts to sabotage the refinery, succeeding in part but failing to detonate the final bomb. After being arrested and sentenced to 24 years in prison, Patrick is released early with the abolition of apartheid, reunites with his wife Precious (Bonnie Mbuli), and later founds a home for orphaned children.
