A successful TV journalist, Maya Menon (Vidya Balan), hosts a show called "Face The Truth" and enjoys celebrity status, but her life takes a drastic turn when she hits an 18-year-old girl with her car after falling asleep at the wheel. The accident sets off a chain of events as Maya tries to cover up the incident while a young woman, Rukhsana Mohammad (Shefali Shah), reveals that the girl is her daughter. As a journalist and a cop investigate the case, they uncover secrets and lies that threaten to destroy Maya's reputation and relationships.
