Wah-Wah

Set against the backdrop of Swaziland's impending independence from the UK in the late 1960s, "Wah-Wah" is a poignant and nuanced tale of family disintegration and survival, loosely based on writer-director Richard E. Grant's own childhood experiences. The film follows 12-year-old Ralph Compton as he navigates his parents' traumatic separation and his father's gradual descent into alcoholism, amidst the tumultuous end of British rule in Africa.
