"Criminal Lovers" is a 1999 psychological horror film by French director François Ozon, retelling the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. After murdering their classmate Saïd, high school students Alice (Natacha Régnier) and her boyfriend Luc (Jérémie Renier) are taken in by a mysterious old man who harnesses Luc's desires to survive. The film follows the couple's desperate struggle for survival as they face arrest and ultimately tragic consequences.
