The Texas Rangers

In 1874, the Texas Rangers are reorganized in response to notorious outlaw Sam Bass's gang, which proves too elusive for them. Two prisoners familiar with the outlaws' movements and locations are released to aid in their capture. Johnny Carver (George Montgomery) and Buff Smith (Noah Beery Jr.) initially appear to be plotting a double cross, but switch sides when they're forced to participate in a gold train holdup, fighting alongside the Rangers against Bass's men in an action-packed showdown.
