Elwood Blues (Dan Aykroyd) is finally released from prison after serving eighteen years and reunites the band to re-form The Blues Brothers. He meets his illegitimate half-brother Cabel Chamberlain (J. Evan Bonifant), an Illinois State Police commander, who joins the band. With the help of a friend Matara (Nia Peeples) and various musicians, Elwood tracks down former members to complete the lineup for the New Orleans Battle of the Bands.
