Ernest Goes to School

Jim Varney's lovable but dim-witted Ernest P. Worrell returns in this 1994 comedy film as a school janitor seeking to obtain a high school diploma. After entering the student body, Ernest becomes significantly smart thanks to an experimental brain accelerator, impressing his teachers and putting him at odds with his former friends. However, he must navigate his newfound intelligence alongside his old clumsiness, leading to comedic catastrophe when he forgets to recharge during a pivotal football game, ultimately helping to save the school from closure through his miraculous catch in the end zone.
