David Colton (Raphael Ruggero) is an 18-year-old high school student who is adopted by a Christian family, James Colton (Kirk Cameron) and Susan Colton (Rebecca Rogers). Eighteen years after his birth, David's biological mother Melissa Cates reaches out to him through an adoption agency, leading to their connection on social media and ultimately meeting face-to-face. The film tells the true story of how Melissa chose adoption over abortion for her son, David, and explores themes of adoption, Christianity, and pro-life values.
