Destiny

In 12th-century Andalusia, Averroes (Nour El-Sherif) is a prominent Islamic philosopher and advisor to Khalifa ElMansour, the principality's ruler. His relationship with the Caliph and his daughter Salma (Rogena) is complicated by the influence of religious fanatics, who seek power and begin persecuting artists and philosophers. Meanwhile, Averroes' son Abdallah (Hani Salama) becomes embroiled in a tragic love affair with a gypsy woman, Manuella (Layla Olwy), leading to a violent confrontation that will have far-reaching consequences.
