Grandma

Lily Tomlin plays Elle Reid, a lesbian poet and widow whose teenage granddaughter Sage visits her to ask for money for an abortion. The two embark on a day-long journey across Los Angeles to try and come up with the $630 needed, visiting numerous people from Elle's past to call in favors. Along the way, Elle is forced to confront her past and comes to terms with her relationships, while Sage faces her future.
