Sacco & Vanzetti

In 1920, Italian immigrants Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti are charged in connection with the murder of a guard and a paymaster during an armed robbery, their anarchist political beliefs used as evidence against them. Defense attorney Fred Moore is convinced of their innocence, but they are repeatedly railroaded by the political and judicial establishment who intend to make an example of them. The two are found guilty and sentenced to death, maintaining their innocence until their execution in 1927. Their case becomes a symbol of the miscarriage of justice that occurred during America's Red Scare, a poignant reminder of the devastating consequences of intolerance and prejudice.
