"Blame It on Rio" is a romantic comedy that follows two well-to-do American men who take their teenage daughters to Rio de Janeiro for a summer vacation. The liberal one, Joseph Bologna's character, doesn't hesitate to find a dubious mate for his daughter, while the conservative one, Michael Caine's character, makes a mistake by falling for Jennifer, the 18-year-old daughter of his friend, played by Michelle Johnson. As their daughters' lives become intertwined, the situation escalates into a series of awkward and uncomfortable situations, ultimately leading to a messy confrontation that threatens to upend the entire family dynamic.
