Pandora's Box

In the stylishly depicted story of "Lulu", Louise Brooks is beautiful and sexy, effortlessly ensnaring the wealthy "Dr. Schön" (Fritz Kortner) before being tainted goods, leading him to marry the more suitable "Charlotte" instead. When Dr. Schön facilitates her joining his adult son's theatrical show, he inadvertently unleashes Lulu's charms on his own son Alwa (Francis Lederer), and later on a remorseful Jack the Ripper. This rise and inevitable fall of an amoral but naive young woman brings ruin to herself and those who love her, as she uses her gifts to inspire lust and violence in those around her.
